So on August 10th 2024 I made a call to this funeral home less then 24 hours after I lost my baby girl. I went into pre term labor at just 21 weeks 4 days and my little girl passed 3 hours after birth. Didn’t think at 34 years old I would be calling funeral homes. Well the call center took information and like less then hour later can’t remember time frame completely I got call back to discuss funeral stuff for my baby girl 👼. The lady I spoke with was very compassionate on my situation. Had it set up that once the hospital called the next day they would drive down to Iowa city to pick up my baby girl. I got home around 5pm Sunday and about 40 minutes later they called me to let me know my sweet baby girl was back in Mason City in their care. Went in the next day to discuss everything for next steps with funeral and cremation. I worked with Jamie for setting up her tribute and the memorial service. Jamie went beyond what i expected for the tribute it was amazing and brought joy to me in a sad and hard situation. When I was picking funeral home I read reviews and there was a review from February this year on here and that is what truly made my choice like that review said the funeral home that was affordable was also the most caring. That review from February was 100 percent correct and I’m so glad that family posted their review because this funeral home goes above and beyond expectations in families time of need. I would completely recommend this funeral home to any family in need. We cannot begin to thank Megan and Chloe for the kindness and compassion they each gave us during the planning of our Dad's funeral. Our first meeting was with Megan. She led us through the process in such a kind and caring manner. She sat with us for over 2 hours and listened as we talked about our Dad. She had a calmness about her as we told story after story and often sobbing. Upon listening to us reflect about Dad she wrote a very beautiful obituary. The next day we met with Chloe and made a few changes to the obituary. We wanted it to be the best obituary we could give to our Dad. Megan and Chloe were both so patient, accommodating and very professional. We didn't have to worry about anything as they took care of every detail and walked us through the entire process - planning, visitation, funeral, burial and luncheon. They even had a room designated for our children and grandchildren to hang out in, if needed, during the visitation. Thank you to everyone at Hogan Bremer Moore who made the whole process go smoothly, but especially Megan and Chloe who treated us with such compassion and respect.
