The staff at Hetrick-Bitner have been compassionate, trustworthy and efficient with working us and coordinating transportation for my father following his passing away. They have been attentive to our grieving with recommendations and resources. I will recommend them to family and friends for funeral care.

Stephen was 45 minutes late to our appointment as he was running behind with his previous appointment. I completely understood that was probably out of his control. We did however felt rushed during our appointment to the point that he filled out all the paperwork for our bill without even mentioning flowers. When I asked if they offered that service or if i needed to contact a florist ( I have never had to plan a funeral and was upfront that I did not know what all i needed to do) he just said "Oh yeah, I forgot about that". My brother lives out of state and needed to sign off on the cremation. It took Stephen almost a week to actually email my brother (this is a time sensitive matter). Once that was done, I finally got the obituary to proof. Her middle name was incorrect. No Biggie, just let him know and he'll fix it right? Well its fixed on the main obituary, but still has the wrong name on her tribute wall. Fast forward to the actual funeral. Everything goes well at the service. Stephen calls me about 30 mins later to tell me he "forgot" to leave me the case for her memorial flag. He told me he would mail it to me the next day. I waited a week for it to arrive, then i called Stephen. I called him 3 times with no answer or call back. I called into the funeral home its self. I ended up calling in once a week for the next 2 MONTHS. Each time i was told the person i spoke with ( a different person almost every time i called) would look into it and call me back. The only time i actually got a call back was the last time i called, clearly unhappy and asking for my money back ($200.00). I FINALLY received the case today. Every staff member I spoke with was very kind and understanding, but the whole experience was unacceptable.

I would highly recommend these guys.’My Brother recently passed and his closest family was Me at 78 miles away. I called and Stephen took care of all the arrangements with the utmost compassion and professionalism. No hard sell, No gimmicks. Just honest, courteous, compassionate service.
