In 2008, my husband was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. My family turned to Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory to take care of my husband's cremation. At the time, we were drawn in by the affordable options available for cremation. I was obviously in a fog of grief but I remember the folks at Heritage were very understanding, calm, and professional. Fast forward to 2022.... things have gone full circle, as I am currently employed at Heritage as part time support. The directors at Heritage are fabulous. It has been a privilege to observe the staff interact with, and serve, local families. They are attentive to detail and tend to each family's individual needs. The directors and staff work tirelessly to provide the best service for families in their time of grief. Pre-planning for Funeral and Memorial arrangements is not something that people look forward to doing, but the staff at Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory make the journey easier. With the passing of my mother-in-law and the details of final paperwork and cremation, Glenn was such an asset. He was professional and knowledgeable during such a difficult time. When it came time to prepare for the Memorial Service, April was a true Godsend. Her gracious demeanor and helpfulness with every step was comforting. She made us feel like we were working with a loving family member. During the Memorial Service itself April and the rest of the staff were respectful and so caring. Thank you for all your help during this difficult time. We will always be grateful.

In the fog of grief I failed to think about leaving a review for the kind, professional services we received during the worst days of our lives from Heritage Funeral Services. It was April 2020. Covid-19 was preventing all funerals. It was surreal not being able to have family members and friends surrounding us. John Saville understood how difficult this was for us. He was so gentle and kind. He helped us plan our son's graveside service. He made sure there would be an adequate sound system for us to play a very special song that meant so much to our son when he was going through multiple brain surgeries several years ago. He encouraged me to make the service as personal as I could. My husband and I were in a blur that day. John kept counting heads. He told us he stopped counting at 150. He knew that it would mean so much to us to know so many people had come dispite Covid. He's still more than willing to help us as we are finalizing a headstone. I designed something special that will be shipped soon. John stepped up, to my great relief, to allow it to be shipped directly to Heritage. He offered to get a crew together to set the headstone and promised to supervise personally to make sure it is not scratched. Helping us with this last piece of burying our boy, 20 months later, words can't describe our gratitude. John Saville is going above and beyond for us. Truly, Heritage offers very personal and thoughtful help during life's most painful times.
