Jessica made using Harrison Ross a terrible experience for my family and I when burying my best friend. She does not return calls, she does not explain things properly, and it seems like she lacks the compassion that is necessary during this time period. I feel maybe she has been in the business too long. She came in during a private moment of the viewing in a very small room and started a conversation which was uncalled for. She left my mother waiting out in the cold during the viewing and would not let her in the mortuary. She also, after a conversation with me was she got agitated and literally put her hands on me, decided to call the daughter of the deceased and vent to her raising her voice using profanity and generally being very belligerent to someone in mourning. I do not recommend Harrison Ross at all the only thing they did right was making my best friend look like he did when he was alive. Above is my original review. This is my response to C. Smith, apparently the owner, who I've never met or talked to and cares more about their online reputation than actually providing caring and heartfelt service to a family in need. In your response you keep saying "we" I don't know you and you weren't there the day of the viewing to speak on it. You are only going by what your employees are telling you which is very skewed. I spoke to the mother before, during, and after the viewing which your workers tried to keep me out of. She never told them it was a closed viewing, this was a misunderstanding on their part which they still can't admit. I was upset for this reason, who wouldn't be? You care about your receptionist being nervous? How about the best friend of the deceased and his mother being kept out in the rain and the cold when all we wanted to do was pay our last respects? Where is the compassion from you and your business? There has not been an apology for any of the trauma caused to my family. On that day, I I spoke to the mother twice, and she was not happy with your service at all. She couldn't believe you were stopping me from coming in. There was a big misunderstanding about her wishes on your part, which you still cannot admit. You also say that the family was pleased with your services. I speak to them on a regular basis and this is not true, and you should be ashamed for trying to speak on their behalf. Every time I spoke to them about Harrison-Ross they had nothing good to say. Your employees trying to upsell them in a time of grief, your employees constantly calling and being rude, Jessica even held up a picture of the deceased to his 4 year old daughter and asked, "Do you miss your daddy?" The sister is very polite and didn't say anything at this time, but this deeply disturbed her since she had not told her that her daddy had passed away. It was not her place to make this assumption, very unprofessional. I heard nothing but complaints about the service you provided from the time they decided to use your mortuary up until the day my best friend was finally laid to rest. I stand by this review wholeheartedly.

Harrison Ross Mortuary provided a lasting, positive experience from our first encounter until they laid our loved one to his final resting place. The counselor and staff were compassionate, warm, sensitive, and very accommodating to meet our family’s needs. Furthermore, the workmanship was phenomenal. Our loved one appeared to be resting and at peace. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.
