Just made arrangements for my mother’s funeral yesterday. Jordan was extremely kind and patient with us and walked us through all the decisions we had to make. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience in a difficult time in our lives.

We worked with 2 funeral homes after the death of my husband and found that Hanceville was very disappointing. The other funeral home delivered the casket, flowers, and decorations and when I walked into the viewing room at 1:45 everything was still in boxes. My husbands Bible was down at the bottom of the casket and we had to find it. Also, tried to order a headstone from them and after telling me they could/would set an appt on Saturday since we live 5 hours away, they refused at 3:00 PM on Friday afternoon. Told me there was nothing they could do for me.

The business is lovely and clean, staff very nice. But we are in the middle of a deadly pandemic that experts have clearly been warning us will get worse. But masks were not required, even though the state mandate is still in effect. I was certain that I would feel safe in there when making plans to attend, but less than 1/3 of the crowd wore a mask, and although every other pew was closed off, people were much too close together. If the decision to wear masks is left to the customers, perhaps that should be on the website, or atleast on the door.
