I have a mixed review about Hamilton. As far as the service itself went, that was beautiful and is well done as it could be. However, after the service at the gravesite, that was another matter altogether. My mother had been cremated, and her ashes were in a urn. When it was time to seal the vault, to be buried next to my fathers grave, it was discovered that the urn itself was too tall. At first they were going to take the lid off, then they tilted my mothers urn inside the vault. Surely, they could have checked that out before we got to the gravesite. Then, a work vehicle backs up to the hole with dirt and shovels with three men in blue jeans and T-shirts, who are only there to do their jobs, ask the family members if they want to shovel in some dirt over the grave. Forgive me, but I am used to the dirt being under a tarp, and then the family members taking a handful of dirt and saying goodbye that way. I’m not sure if this is the modern way to do it, but I grabbed a handful of dirt and said goodbye. As I said, before up until the very end of the services Hamilton did fine. Maybe I’m being overly critical, but that was my mother we were burying and the last two things just seemed very harsh.

I recently had the privilege of working with Cierra at Hamilton’s and I cannot express enough gratitude for her services during that difficult time. From our initial contact, Cierra demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. Her coordination made my grandpa’s farewell a beautiful and memorable occasion. I highly recommend Hamilton’s services to anyone in need of compassionate and professional funeral care.

my ex girlfriend passed away. i hadn't spoken to her in years and found her obituary on hamilton's website. i wanted some answers so i spoke to a director at this funeral home named kim harding who handled the arrangements. she asked me what my ex's birthday was to test if i actually knew her and said it was "odd" that i didn't. ever forget a birthday or anniversary? if so, i've got some bad news for you - you're odd. i thought it was pretty cruel to pour salt in my wounds when i'm grieving someone i loved, but i guess that's how hamilton's does things

Brothers, Mark and Mike Iles, seek to continue and enhance the philosophy of service and treatment of grieving families in their community, originally developed by their father, Charles W. Iles. Their personal involvement with their community keeps them sensitive to the unique needs of local families, and revenue from services purchased remains in their own community. Mark and Mike have sought to attract and retain the best funeral directors and embalmers in the industry. Their confidence and relationship with their staff allows funeral directors the decision making flexibility to adapt to customer needs. Mike and Mark believe the most valuable thing they own is their reputation. Every staff associate is expected and empowered to do anything it takes to serve our families well.
