I grew up in this small town where everyone knows one another. This funeral home has serviced many of my family members, and knew our family. When my father passed away a few years back we contacted this place in hopes of them helping us with the service. My brother called and spoke to someone who advised they would be happy, even though my father has no life insurance. We told them to get the body from the Hospice location and begin the preparations. They did the embalming, and for some odd reason, i get a call from my mom's cousin ( Reverend/Pastor) telling me now the funeral home will not accept the original arrangements as earlier discussed with my brother, for payment installments. So not only did we have to deal with grieving and now we had to find a new funeral home to help us with the services. Luckily we knew people at Shannon's Funeral home who agreed to accept our terms. Meanwhile Hall & Taylor was holding my dad's body hostage for the embalming, after not honoring our original agreement. So a lesson to be learned, never make a verbal agreement, especially with Hall & Taylor Funeral Home.

This is the worst funeral home I have ever done business with! When my brother passed away in 2020 I had to get the house in my name because it was still my parents name that passed away in 2001 ..to do that he wanted $2,800..so I gave him half of the money up front and was going to give the other half when the deed was done. But to this day almost 3 years since day one I have called quite a few times to see what was going on.... And always says I need more documents that I've already done!!!! So I Tell him nevermind I want some my money back since he hasn't done nothing but only but only go to court date!!! And has the audacity to saywell everytime I answer your phone call it's $75!????? Now you tell me who does that and I still ain't got the house in my name till till this day
