My dad passed away 2 1/2 weeks ago and we had a custom urn made from them for his ashes. Paid an extra $500 for it. I sent pictures and was very specific with what we wanted. My mom picked him up . Needless to say she was upset but glad to have him home for closure and comfort. She sent me pictures and what I had asked for was wrong. I contacted Lisa and was told I could bring “it” back and they could fix it. Like What!!! It’s not like a shirt that was made wrong, it’s my dad’s resting place. I couldn’t ask that of my mom… give him to me to give back so they can fix their mistake. I told her that was not going to happen. I said they could give a partial refund. Like what else do I do? I was ignored. Losing a loved one is hard but harder on a spouse. Being in this business they are held to a higher expectation to not make mistakes. I am very disappointed.

Everyone there is so caring, especially Matt Squires, who made the whole process go smoothly, explaining every step in a caring and heartwarming way.

Gridley Block Funeral Home was amazing. They were so helpful and attentive to our needs when we recently lost our mother. She passed in the middle of the night and they were here very quickly! They called us the following day to ask us in to look at everything that needed to be done. Matt Squires was amazing with us. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about obituaries, how and when to set up the funeral, etc. Matt did a wonderful job at the service. I cannot say enough about Matt and the Gridley-Block Funeral Home. Dealing with grief and loss is extremely hard, but they made it a little easier! Highly recommend!
