Our children and I were more than pleased with everything this funeral home did for us at the KCK location! Paul and his office assistant there always went out of their way to make the final goodbye to my husband special, with their info and suggestions and accommodations to our wishes offered in a warm and heartfelt way. Very comforting!

My mom took out a prepaid funeral plan in 1988 with Porter. She died last month and all of us family (including mom) are scattered across the US. We needed to plan mom’s funeral for a specific day to meet travel arrangements and logistics of getting mom’s body to Kansas City. All we heard were excuses on why they could not accommodate. There was no compassion, no sympathy, and no offers of a way to make it work. In our most difficult time, Porter Funeral Homes displayed a lack of professionalism and understanding and added unnecessary stress.

Porter's funeral home both on 18 & Minnesota Ave in Kansas & the location in Lenexa are awesome. They are considerate,kind,professional and most of all not pushy. They do not take advantage of people who are grieving. They help each family that comes in accordingly. My whole very large family and friends have used them over many many years.
