If you use Evans, proceed with caution. This is a beautiful facility and I’m sure they’re capable of delivering on everything they promise. However, they are also capable of making gross errors that permanently scar your memorial service. I urge you to arrive early and question every detail of what is expected. For my wife’s recent service, Evans failed with three major tasks: 1) They put out memorial cards containing twelve typographical errors. She would have been livid! One of her biggest pet peeves was incorrect spelling and grammar. Now these cards are what people have to remember her. It’s a continuing insult on a deceased person who can’t defend herself. 2) The photo display malfunctioned and 125 carefully chosen photos were never shown. Hours were spent collecting and selecting these photos by numerous family members. They would have shown a beautiful person who lived a full life and touched many others. But it was all for nothing. 3) The 3rd failure was just as disturbing as the first two however I will not discuss that here out of respect for an innocent party who Evans should never have involved.

The staff at Evans extended a warm and caring attitude during the entire process. They were thorough to the smallest detail. Many of the funeral quests commented on how smoothly and carefully everything proceeded. At a time of loss a family requires guidance and understanding as well as having their wishes and the wishes of the deceased easily met. Evans exceeded our expectations.

We used Evans Chapel in Forest Hill for my fathers celebration of Life ceremony and we were blown away by the attention to detail and personal touches they were able to create in such a short time. Cori and the entire staff made the process go as smooth as possible with their extreme professionalism, knowledge, communication and compassion.
