A funeral home is not the most desired place to visit. Unfortunately, on two different occasions in the last few years, both of my parents died. Most recently, my father died last week (October 2024.) My five-star review is for the supportive staff at Emmanuel Johnson Funeral Home. When my father’s body was picked up, Jade softened the blow with his compassion by making sure we understood the process and asking if we were ok to view the process. Additionally, after the service ended, Eugene asked about the flowers (where to place them, meaning at the cemetery or the repass room). I wondered if the funeral limo could drive by my Dad’s home route to the cemetery- accommodated by Eugene. Finally, assisting with getting leftovers from the repass into our vehicles.

My baby brother was buried here in September of 1985. I remember hia funeral very well, at 3 years of age. His casket was beautiful. The service was beautiful. This funeral home is not like any other for it has stuck with me almost 40 years as a place of comfort in hard times. Emmanuel Johnson Funeral Home was of the highest quality then and I sure hope the legacy has remained as such. I'm thankful for Emmanuel Johnson Funeral Home for making one of my foundational memories as comforting as possible in such a hard time for my family. One last thing- the name Emmanuel alway stuck with me from the day of my little brother's funeral on and only in my adult years had I come to know it means, "God with us." God bless you all at Emmanuel Johnson and all the families who've had the painful experience of losing their loved one(s) and the honor and privilege to have the final respects carried out by an outstanding establishment. Do not use these nasty crooks. They are nothing but unprofessional money hungry crabs. They tried to throw my grandmother in the trash basically. They told my family we couldn’t have a view our grandmother and we could see her via email picture. They also told my family we had to work around their schedule and that they would look into our request. These people are just a no go. Do not use this place at all.
