Last month my family endured the inevitable. We were faced with the reality that our lives were changed forever. We said our final farewells to my grandfather. Our loss and the pain that we have continued to experience since his death is nothing that the staff of Ellison’s Funeral Home hasn’t seen before. Ellison’s has been trusted to handle the final arrangements for many of our friends and family. Although we were just another grieving family, they treated us as though we were so much more than “just another customer.” They extended to my grandfather in death as much respect, honor and dignity that he had received in life. They have gone above and beyond their obligations to us. They offered a genuine hand of kindness and friendship in the time that we needed it most. My family and I could not be more appreciative and grateful for the way that we have been treated by the entire staff at Ellison’s. Thank you all so much for your compassion and dedication to not only helping my family but so many others.

In every way the Ellisons exceeded our expectations. The renovated chapel is warm, light, & feels peaceful. They thought of every detail and were flexible with our preferences. Some little unexpected touches that meant so much to family members. Couldn't be more pleased with the value of their service compared to the cost.

I had Ellison Funeral Home handle my daughter's memorial service and cremation in September 2016, so this review comes after a couple years of debating whether to leave this review. My daughter had been through an autopsy, which includes removing the top of the skull to remove the brain. We wanted to see Veronica's body before the cremation, so an employee named TJ made the arrangement. I suggested to TJ that, if, as I feared, my girl's head looked bad, would he please at least put a hat on her. He said he would, and a couple days later we went. The top of my daughter's head was on crooked, and it was a ghastly sight. Had I not been paralyzed with grief, I would have immediately been outraged and said something. This experience is one that will stay with me until my own demise. My last memory of my daughter with the top of her head on crooked!
