For several years, my brother Dorman had a pre-paid funeral contract with Dunn Funeral Home. As he became less capable, I helped him from Florida, and my son helped him from MA. We were sad to have to use Dunn's services in late January, but pleased with how they handled everything. Jeff Meyer was thoughtful and kind and thorough with all the details. I sincerely thank Jeff and his staff for lightening our worries and taking good care of Dorman and his family.

It’s taken me 5 years to write this review….. it’s been 5 years since my grandmother passed suddenly and I had to pick a funeral home to come get my grandma to only experience the worst possible things. After being picked up by two men who forgot any type of covering and had to use my grandmothers bedding to cover her… i was greeted by a “ substitute” for the funeral director while he was on vacation. Not only did he tell me my grandmother is just a number to the state and that she’ll sit in the basement until things are sorted but he made stingy comments once I had questions about make up. See my grandmother never wore makeup and how anything other than natural would be odd to the family. He then proceeded to tell me how this is his area of expertise and Not to question him, that he will do whatever it is that he has too do. He then also explained because she was on state and was only going to get cremated we were “ taking food away from his family’s table “ because we could not afford an up charge on anything… after he was “ nice enough “ to offer a small showing to say bye… once that came time the “ real” director came back and explained how he doesn’t know why he would offer anything for free or why he was rude but he’ll “ talk to him “… so in the end I hold on to a bill from a scam artists who has charges for embalming my grandmother when there was no showing accompanied by a charge for a hearse ride.. ( never happened) NEVER AGAIN. Would I use this company. I hope whoever is grieving get to grieve without dealing with money hungry losers.

Dunn Funeral Home handled the arrangements for my mother when she died suddenly in January 2018. I was underwhelmed by the service provided by the funeral home. No one greeted us at the door when we arrived and the staff member lurked in the background near the end of the wake. I went to visit my mother's grave for the first time on Mother's Day, I had difficulty finding the grave because it did not even have a temporary marker. When I mentioned to the funeral director how upsetting this was, he had replied that they didn't usually provide them, but sometimes did if it was requested. He showed no emotion, no caring and no empathy. I wish that I was able to give the funeral home less than one star. I suggest the funeral director go somewhere to learn empathy and caring.
