Rev. Smith couldn't have been a better help to me in this situation. In my family, I'm the person my family leans on to deal with difficult matters! Not knowing, I almost had a complete breakdown trying to overcome and see the passing of a loved one. He reminded me of my faith without making me walk it off, shake it off, but by being honestly caring and completely understanding. Almost like a father does to his child! Even though I have no fear of public speaking, I just forgot everything I wanted to say during the service because I didn't write it down, which is my fault. It went completely smoothly after dropping the ball, so to speak, during the whole situation from beginning to end. I will be referring this funeral home to all my friends and family. Thanks to everyone involved in helping during this difficult time!

Everything seemed to be going as seamless as possible at first. Darnell is very personable and comforting. However, everything after the initial meeting was torture at an indescribably difficult time. They had a typo on the prayer cards I ordered 200 prayer cards and thank you cards. They forgot the thank you cards all together. They offered to reprint "some" of the prayer cards because of the typo. When I finally got the thank you cards months after, there were only 100. We made sure to ask that there was an equal amount when we first set up. They sent the wrong registration book and didn't realize what they put out until my mom gave me the filled out registration book from the church after the services. I had to call 5 different times after I should have been done with this place. Each time putting me through agony. I literally gave up for a period of time because emotionally, I couldn't handle it. The receptionists made me feel like a bother, when they were the ones to cause all the issues. Even when it was time to pick up the death certificate for my 22 year son, the receptionist gave my fiance a hard time. I told her I would have to have him or my mom pick up for me. She went to the extent of making a comment " I would call her to make sure but she never answers" ... Yes, it's hard to keep ripping off the scab of this devastating wound just to deal with mistakes made by the rude heartless uncaring receptionists that work there. Even still after a second reprint of the prayer cards they are not centered on the card. I give up because I don't have the strength mentally to keep going round and round with them. I just hope sharing my experience helps others to avoid or helps the company to recognize the poor service and make a change

I cannot reccomend Strong Thorne mortuary enough. My mother in law recently passed away and they took care of my very large family, and especially my mother in law , exceptional well. Darnell and Felicia took care of everything,Darnell he was kind and patient and very helpful. Everyone I spoke to on the staff was extremely sensitive and helpful! The service was gorgeous and impeccably handled. I really can't say enough good things about Strong thorne Mortuary. A wonderful company to work with in a really hard time. Thanks Darnell n Felicia for everything!!
