My step dad passed away unexpectedly and suddenly. His funeral was held here. My mom was his life partner for 9 years, spent everyday together and he passed in front of her. His “former former” ex wife that hasn’t been in his life for 25 years told them that she was in charge and wouldn’t let my mom in the family viewing and threaten to have her removed for being there. The funeral home did nothing when this was explained to them. They even had the names above the doors wrong, one of his best friends pointed it out to the funeral home to make sure they cremate the right person but they didn’t do anything about it. To make it even worse, a disorderly, ignorant, probably intoxicated man went on a rant bashing my step father and it went on for far too long and no one stepped in or stopped him or asked him to leave and this happened in front of children that looked at him like a grandfather. This place was honestly disgusting, unprofessional, they had no empathy or sympathy and my step dad deserved better!!!

I have not personally used Cooney Funeral Home's services for a loved one, but I have attended several visitations there for extended family and the family of close friends. Each time I found Cooney Funeral Home to be a truly exceptional and compassionate establishment. The staff at Cooney Funeral Home were incredibly caring, professional, and kind. Being a family-run business for over 100 years, their experience, knowledge, and dedication shine through. They understand the importance of their role and strive to make the process as smooth and comforting as possible. Even though I hope not to require their services for my own family anytime soon, I will not hesitate to turn to Cooney Funeral Home when the need arises.
