My grandmother passed away in April of 2022. Her entire service was pre-paid except one thing that she wasn’t able to pay for at that time. My mother paid for that (I believe it was the date of death marker). They put the marker on her gravestone. The screw was not put in correctly. It took months for them to even mess with it at all but still never corrected the issue completely. After I called numerous times, they took the messed up screw out but put nothing in its place. My grandmother has been gone now for 2.5 years and they finally put a screw in but it isn’t the correct type of screw. It should be a flathead brass screw. Instead it is a Phillips head screw that is rusting away. If I can add pictures I will. The last time I spoke with them, I was told that they are low on staff! 2.5 years for a screw! Give me a break! It has been nothing but a miserable experience getting this fixed and it is still not fixed. It is disgusting the amount of money they charge and they cannot fix a screw. Her marker has never been done correctly. This review was a last resort after 2.5 years of fighting with them. I have left yet another message and hope to hear from them tomorrow and praying at some point before I die this is corrected. Not having enough employees is not what anyone wants to hear when we are talking about a screw that was not put in correctly 2.5 years ago. That is not a good excuse at all! I have attached the photos I have taken over the last 2.5 years with this screw issue and the issue of the marker not being placed at all until after October (six months after my grandmother’s death). The most recent picture is the rust screw that I suppose you thought would pacify the situation. DO YOUR JOB!

I would like to thank Carolina Funeral Home and Dignity Memorial for laying my mom to rest just a little easier.
