Where do I begin to thank Balckwell's Memorial Home for making a very difficult and emotional time so much easier for my family and I. My sister passed away on January 18, 2018 and Kevin came to my home the next day to go over all of our options as to what type of funeral we were going to have for my sister. He was very thorough and I could sense his sincere understanding of our situation. We decided to have her cremated and Kevin arranged a viewing for the immediate family prior. She looked beautiful, as if the ravages of cancer had never occurred. That is how we wanted to remember her. A week later, Kevin arranged to have a memorial service at Blackwell's. The room was set up beautiful and there was a warmth about it that was comforting to our relatives and friends. At the end of the service, the registry book, thank you cards, prayer cards and death certificates were neatly placed in a canvas tote bag for us to take home. At both services, Betty Blackwell Davis and Kevin Latham were very visible in case we had any questions or last minute details. There is even a link on the website if you wish to send a floral arrangement, which we used. The flowers were beautiful and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Blackwell's Memorial Home to anyone.
