I wanted to take the time to thank Alex for the care he took for my brother in laws cremation and ID service. He was always very compassionate and worked with us together during a very difficult time. He also provided a good value and was never trying to upsell us which I appreciated.

We called the Big Apple Funeral Home about my father’s passing at about 11 pm. Alexander answered the phone and was incredibly supportive, calm, and professional. He arranged a funeral service for the very next day. We were in shock after losing our father, but Alexander guided us through the process, offered helpful suggestions, assisted my mom with the paperwork, and ordered beautiful flowers for the ceremony. We are forever grateful to Alexander and everyone at the Big Apple Funeral home for their kindness, thoughtfulness, and efficiency.

I gave Big Apple a “5-Star” review on Yelp before our transaction was complete, something I now regret. In short, I paid for five death certificates and Alex didn’t send them to me. I wrote and called several times and my messages noted I had great need of these for the administration of the estate. Not only did he not mail them, he “ghosted” me. Just didn’t respond, period. Prior to this, Alex was a consistently fast responder, usually within 24 hours. I’ll add that not all deaths are equal. My son died tragically and young; the trauma has been enormous. In the end, Big Apple chose to compound my stress by, suddenly, ignoring me. It was undeserved and inexcusable. Shame on You, Alex, and Big Apple.
