My uncle was recently waked out of Barr funeral home. Although he did look great, everything else about the experience was atrocious. The smell of mold and mildew hit you in the face the second you walked in the door. There was visible mold on the walls and lamp shades, it may have also been in the carpeting, but it was indistinguishable from the other filth. When we asked if we could lower the temperature, we were told “no” in no uncertain terms, despite the fact that it was ridiculously warm and sticky in the viewing rooms. . The bathrooms were filthy and several people complained about being “dripped on” from the ceiling. The women’s bathroom also did not have toilet paper. Despite assurances that the obit would be in the Sunday paper, it was not. After all that, it was no surprise that the tv for the slide show also did not work. The date of death on the prayer cards was wrong, in their defense they did correct it for the next day. The lack of care or upkeep for the building would keep me from recommending this funeral home to anyone

Tim is absolutely wonderful! He makes himself available whenever you need him and has the best personality. Very caring, compassionate, and has a way of making such a difficult and heavy time so much lighter and brighter. The staff is wonderful as well and did an excellent job from beginning to end. Pricing is very fair.
