This review is overdue but I have just found the energy to write it. I never thought I would ever be in this position as no mother would ever think she would outlive her child. My son was in the Navy and he passed away in July of this year. I went to several different funeral homes in my area and I had an awful experience with all of them. I was treated coldly in one place, in another the gentleman my family and I spoke to was robotic and cold. I found Balsamo's and I am so grateful I did. The facility was warm and inviting, creating a comforting environment for our family. From the moment I walked in, the staff and Mr. Balsamo treated us with compassion and respect, and Mr. Balsamo insisted I call him Joseph. After explaining my experiences, Joseph apologized to me and told me he would take care of myself and my son like we were his family. I cried with relief and sat with Mr. Balsamo as he listened to me he put my mind at ease and I knew he was an honorable man. Joseph was experienced with military funerals and he did not make financing my sons funeral his priority. Joseph asked me about my son and was interested in who he was as a person before his death. This made my heart feel easy and my pain subside in that moment. Mr. Balsamo handled everything with my Navy CACO officers which eased my burden, so I could handle other matters and Joseph and his staff went above and beyond to ensure that all of my wishes were honored and handled with the utmost dignity. Joseph was kind, supportive, and he was a blessing to me in the darkest time of my life. Joseph and his staff treated my son's remains with the highest respect and dignity and I was truly moved. There are no words I could ever use to describe this wonderful man and his staff's professionalism. Their attention to detail and support made a challenging process much easier. I wholeheartedly recommend Balsamo's Funeral Home to anyone in need of their services. Thank you for everything you did for us.

This funeral home is top notch! From the moment I found out we were going to be losing mom and the dates were borrowed up until the end I was told to look for funeral homes and arrangements. While shopping around Joe was the most soothing most angelic understanding President of a funeral home who treated us like family only person me and my husband had spoken to who welcomed us with open arms. From day one without even knowing if we were going to pick his funeral home he was detailed understanding and caring. The best choice we ever did was to pick Balsamo Funeral Home. Once mom passed and we spent our time with the body, we drove straight to the funeral home and he reassured us he will not disappoint us and that mom was now his family member to him and his staff as well. In the day of the service everything was beautifully arranged and I couldn’t have it any other way. Best was to depart my queen with a bang! The service was better than I could’ve ever imagined Joe and his staff made the process so much more easier on us we loved this place sad we had to meet during my momma services but I definitely recommend A++.
