While the pricing is excellent, the customer service of Rev Capers is not. Clearly this is a business to him & he lacks empathy. From the start I told him we were going to do our mother’s hair & make up. On the day of the wake my friend, who’s also a make up artist arrived and my mother’s make up was done but no one in our family instructed him to do so. Rev Capers stated it was a time conflict & had it done per his own doing. My first time seeing my mother proceeded to touch her & Mrs Capers in the middle of my crying told me not to touch my mom because we didn’t want to disturb her make up, mind you I had not 1 but 2 make up artists standing there & I myself do make up. I had to tell her this is my first time seeing my mom since her departing & I didn’t care about that. Rev Capers was pushy about getting the obituary and order of service days early. He kept reiterating he asked for it by a certain day and was literally standing over my shoulder as I was writing the info down. I had to request for him the give me physical strength and explained to him he needs to be more sympathetic because this is a lot when the death is unexpected. After all of that on the day of the wake there was not a draft for me to review & my mother’s obituary had several mistakes including listing my aunt as “Bro” instead of “Sis”. The most disgraceful & offensive thing he did was during the service when I was viewing my mom, seeing my mom’s face for the last time, Rev Capers told me I needed to hurry along so that my step dad could view my mother. I told him how tacky & insensitive he was. I would never recommend him to do a dog’s funeral. He is desensitized to the process.

Aiken-Capers has always been a place where you felt you could take your love one. Lots of experience in what needs to be done.

Just simply an amazing director and staff. Very professional and compassionate.
