My Mom’s body remained at Yoder-Culp for 12 agonizing days! The prolonged wait for my Mom’s cremation, which could not proceed until the death certificate was signed, prevented us from making timely burial arrangements. YC contacted Mom’s attending physician to obtain a signature >>>> then they waited to get it. YC did nothing to expedite the process. The physician finally signed the death certificate on Day 9. YC called me on Day 12 to pick up my Mom’s remains as well as her death certificates. YC should have made it their job to obtain a physician’s signature (attending physician, colleague of attending physician, hospice doctor, coroner) on Mom’s death certificate within 72 hours (Indiana law). Instead of providing comfort & closure, YC provided excuses. NOTE: My husband & I (as well as my sister & her husband) were prepared to purchase pre-paid funeral plans from Yoder-Culp. However, YC’s handling of my Mom’s situation changed our minds.

This place in Goshen has taken care of my family. My family has been with with this place for awhile and they are the best. I dont know how they could get a low rating. They provide a service and they take care of all your needs. They will sit up a meeting and walk you through everything. I hate this rating system with google maps. Its useful but at a quick glance it can discourage people. You read the reviews of this place and you see some felt rushed. Well you agree to a time slot. There are other funerals that take place. Everything is planned by you and you have to pay for that slot.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home helped me navigate through the difficult journey of losing my husband. I felt so lost. They compassionately walked me through each step of the process. From the morning they respectfully picked up his body to the meeting at the funeral home to make arrangements and fill out paperwork, I knew I was in good hands. They took care of everything, including the cremation, which was my husband’s wish. Their presence at the memorial service provided such a reverential atmosphere. Every detail was done with excellence, and the staff was so helpful along the way. They helped carry me through this difficult time.
