Dealing with an unexpected passing a week ago has been incredibly difficult. As crazy as it sounds….Elvira and the other employees here have made it a very comforting experience. I had called a few other mortuaries in Sonoma County, and they were all far more expensive, and sounded like salesmen. While keeping the cremation process within our budget, they took such great care of our loved one, and we knew her body would be treated with respect, and care. This job must be very difficult, but they all do it so well, with such grace. I know it’s not easy researching mortuaries, so just know I can’t recommend them enough.

It has taken me almost 3 months to write this since my dad passed away because the thought is still so painful knowing my dad is no longer here. There is not enough words I can express to show my families Thoughts and Feelings regarding Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary. This is our families first experience working with a funeral home and we are so honored and blessed we chose Windsor Healdsburg. From the very beginning the care and respect they showed my family is like no other. The care, dignity and respect they showed my dad meant everything to us. Tony, his lovely wife have been so compassionate and caring.Their staff are pleasant and helpful as well. In the future I know we will use them hands down for any of our loved ones. Words cannot express the sadness and grief I felt when I received the tragic news that my brother suddenly passed away. I was so devastated that there were moments I literally could not breathe. To make matters more difficult, I now had to fly across country, from New York to California, to make arrangements to transport my brother’s body back to his final resting place. I was overwhelmed to say the least and at times felt helpless. My emotions were finally put to ease when I started communicating with Tony Munoz at the Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary. My family and I are forever grateful for Tony and the staff for the way they handled every step of my brother’s arrangements. I cannot thank Tony Munoz enough for everything he has done. Not only was he kind, respectful and professional, his knowledge of the process was very impressive. He communicated effectively with the family and the receiving funeral home in New York throughout the entire process. Tony was especially attentive to our needs, and even with the 3 hour time difference, he always made himself available for our questions and concerns and answered us immediately. From the moment I walked into the establishment, we were made to feel welcomed. Tony brought me, my son and my other brother into a conference room to discuss the arrangements. Even though the viewing and funeral arrangements were going to be in New York, Tony did not rush us in any way. He was considerate and sat with us for a few hours and even wanted to know all about my brother. I felt like he genuinely cared. Tony went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly; starting with picking up my brother’s body from the Coroner’s office, meeting with my family personally to discuss preparing the body, and even personally transporting my brother 65 miles from Windsor to San Francisco Airport. I later found out Delta airlines had made a mix up with the flight, and Tony waited at the airport for an additional 5 hours to make sure my brother was put on the correct flight. I felt comfort knowing my brother was in Tony’s care the entire time. I highly recommend Tony Munoz and the Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary. When my family was in need they made an emotional experience a pleasant one.
