If you think there will be any animosity between you and the other party, and if you aren't the one with all the rights (in our case my brother's wife), try your best not to go here... they can't be trusted to be professional and neutral. In our instance, in their presence, we paid for the funeral and the viewing, while the wife paid for the cremation and there was a verbal agreement made that my mother would receive some ashes, but after the funeral, the wife complained and took all the ashes. So basically, instead of the funeral home standing by the legally binding verbal agreement made in their halls, you'll be forced to go through legal action to get what was promised to you. We won't be doing that because it's just not worth the long legal struggle (plus his soul is not with those ashes) and I doubt it's something anyone looking to come here would like to experience.
