Recently I attended a funeral service at Wiggins-Knipp funeral home. Everyone was impressed by an attendant Marvin. He gave exemplary service, was professional, kind, and respectful to the people around him. I want to thank Marvin for making such a sad day a little bit easier to cope with for me and my family. I called to inquire about cremation and service, was quoted an exorbitant amount. I shop around so I came up with much better pricing. Called to inquire again and asked about renting chapel for 1 hour, was quoted $795.00, said no thank you. Today received a call was told I owe them for transportation. I asked what did he mean, told them my loved ones remains were transported from hospital to Skyview and as that was whom they use for corners, and mortuary service it didnt cost me anything. The caller stated that "Skyview" was part of Wiggins-Knipp, I told them to go to hell and then calle "Skyview" and they confirmed that I did not owe anyone for transportation of my loved ones remains, that Wiggins-Knipp was a separate business from them. I took this as a desperate and deliberate attempt to extort money from me. I am looking up business owners and will also be contacting an attorney.
