This funeral home was recommended by our pastor, so my wife and I made an appointment with Tim to make our prearrangements. Tim called twice to reschedule due to funerals, understandably. On the third morning we arrived and was greeted by an guy who said he would help us because Tim was busy. This guy didn’t bring anything to the meeting, no paperwork or even a pencil. I told him we were there to obtain written estimates of our final expenses and we had some questions. I asked him to explain their financial arrangements in regards to prearranged funerals. He said not to worry, we could trust the funeral home would always be there. I said fine but do you contract with an insurance company to make sure our expense is covered. He said yes. I asked where was the insurance company located and what is their history. He said they were in Hot Springs and I could trust him that they weren’t going anywhere. I asked for the name of the insurance company and could he give me a brochure or something on them. He gave me a couple different names and finally settled on Select Funeral and Life and said he had no information on the company. I asked could he obtain information and forward it to me. He said no. I asked how does he expect me to use Welch if he can’t provide any information. He said if I wanted information I should go home and look it up on the internet. Then he got up and said that the meeting was over, he wasn’t going to be talked to the way we were inquiring. We left, my wife was about in tears and we won’t ever return to this business, not even for a funeral! I called my pastor and he recommended Regency in Malvern as an alternative. We drove straight to Regency and within 30 minutes of arriving without an appointment we had all our questions answered and left with two detailed written contracts. The next day we returned with our $20k check and within two weeks we had our insurance policies in hand!

Tim and his staff are very compassionate and caring and down to earth. They did a wonderful job with my mother and fathers service. They also had food catered to our family, which was a very kind gesture.

Tim and his staff truly go above and beyond to make a difficult time special for the family. They are very compassionate and take the time you need to make the arrangements as easy as possible.
