I want to say thank you to the Waters for making my experience so smooth and easy going during one of the most difficult times in my life. They listened to all our family ideas and they delivered. They helped us save money on things by telling us what's necessary and what's not. They made my husband look like himself, He looked amazing y'all. Some funeral homes miss the mark on making our loved ones look like themselves, in which can cause the family more emotional trauma, and I am so thankful that was not the case for our family . Thank you , thank you , and thank you again for making our darkest moment in life into light as we said our last goodbyes.

I have never known Waters Funeral Home Directors to ever be disrespectful towards anyone's family in their time of bereavement. Perhaps someone was upset due to the business being handled by professionals of more than 20 + years. There should never be negative, racial, or derogatory remarks about an outstanding business at all.

I have NEVER seen a more disrespectful display by a funeral home than I saw yesterday at Kristi Cheatham's, funeral. The first display was in the final goodbye. The director went down one side of the church asking each row if they wanted to say final goodbyes. Never at any point did she go down the right side. The mother, sister and father of the deceased were sitting on the first and second row. Everyone knew this because the father actually sang a song during the service. They got up to say their final goodbyes when it became obvious they were not going to be asked and the funeral home personnel tried to keep them from doing so. The wife of her father even identified them to the director. Instead of stepping aside and allowing them to say goodbye, they literally continued to lower the deceased in the casket making it more difficult for the mother and father to say goodbye. The second display was in the procession line up. They made sure the spouse was up front but gave no thought to the mother, father or her children. This wouldn't matter as much, except for the FACT that they were disregarded at the cemetery too. The third display was at the cemetery. NEVER have I ever been to a funeral where the deceased was removed from the hurst prior to the ENTIRE family being seated. As a matter of fact, I have NEVER attended a funeral where everyone in the procession wasn't at the grave site. However, they were once again only concerned with the spouse. No regard was paid to the mother, father, sister or children of the deceased. The fourth display was at the closing. The family was TOLD, and it was said rudely, to leave. Not given the choice. They did not comply with this demand. No expressions of sympathy were given to the family, only to the spouse, yet this was everyone's loss. It wasn't a matter of who paid for the service, because the children paid equally for the service. Again, the most DISRESPECTFUL display from a funeral home I have ever witnessed. Make no mistake Little Harpeth Primitive Baptist Church did a FANTASTIC job honoring Kristi. They obviously loved her and thought very highly of her. Waters Funeral Home, however was a complete disappointment. If I could give no stars I would. Very sad that they could not honor and show respect to the entire family of Kristi Cheatham.
