I never really envisioned myself planning my Father's funeral in my thirties, but life often doesn't go the way you plan. My Dad had terminal cancer. My parents were drawn to Utah Valley Mortuary because it gave off a more fresh, modern feel. Others they checked out just seemed old and dusty, and didn't have as many options. Missy and Austin were both so professional! They helped him pick out everything he cared about before he passed. They were called to the scene to take the body to the mortuary right after he died, and they came immediately in the middle of the night, suits on and full of compassion. When we were planning all the last details, I found my Father had said under flowers: "I don't care." I had a pretty specific idea of what he would have actually liked- he loved blue, white lilies were a favorite of his because they reminded him of his mother, and we added a pop of yellow to lighten the look and add variety. Austin listened and did everything *exactly* as described. As a bonus, the conference room there has candy and drinks, which is surprisingly comforting when you're grieving. They broadcast the funeral on Youtube, so family and friends all around the world could watch- both during the funeral live, then afterward with the recording. When we had bumps or requests come up, they accommodated us easily. They responded quickly to every communication. For example, it started pouring rain on us the morning of! They had options for bringing some additional canopies. We wanted a blue backdrop for the coffin, they got one for us immediately. They were professional and prepared, even when we (as a family) weren't. We appreciate their forethought, patience, and professionalism!

Utah Valley Mortuary was amazing! Matt and his team did an amazing job with my father’s funeral. They were incredibly respectful, thorough and compassionate. Having never planned a funeral before my family and I were considering 2 other mortuary services but the process and costs were mind numbing, confusing, and down right intimidating. When we sat down with Matt he made the whole process easy. Unfortunately death is expensive but Utah Valley Mortuary is incredibly reasonable and their quality is world class. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone

Utah Valley Mortuary is nothing short of amazing. From beginning to end, they made the entire funeral and burial process easy, smooth, and low-stress for my family, and everything was beautiful. They went above and beyond, and we are floored with how wonderful their service is. Matt was responsive, kind, caring, so helpful, and absolutely fantastic. Can't express our thanks enough.
