We are very grateful for the great services provided by Torres Mortuary located in Monterey Park. Daniel was the one who took care of everything for us in our time of grief. With his help we did not need to be concerned about the details of the funeral service. He is a kind humble man with a warm smile. Daniel patiently discussed all the information we needed to know and accommodated our wishes. During the service he thoughtfully placed two Buddha statues as my parents are Buddhist. Thank you to Daniel and his team, the entire experience was simple and comforting.

We are so very greatful for the services provided and respectful treatment of our father. At this time when Covid has caused such grief it is with heartfelt appreciation that we were so fortunate to be turned away by so many local mortuaries and fall into the capable hands of Torres Mortuary. The hospital staff were so impressed with how they handled my father’s move from their facility to Torres Mortuary that they made a point of letting me know that they were the most professional, organized and respectful of all the mortuaries they’ve had to deal with during these dreadful times. I can’t say enough about this wonderful group of individuals from Daniel who handled the logistics to Elias and Manuel who drove to our home to pick up my father’s urn and clothes a 160 mile round trip drive after work. My father is a veteran and would have been very happy to know that he was well taken care of. Thanks to your extra care my mother was able to say goodbye to her husband of 64 years with a peaceful mind.

If I could give negative stars I would. My son in law passed away 2/2021. We felt fortunate that Torres Mortuary was able to help us. That unfortunately was the last time we were treated with respect. Daniel and Felipa were both rude and unsympathetic. I took the week off work to deal with the arrangements. Erika was nice and helpful. Finally Daniel called me on Sunday and first thing he questioned me on date of service. I explained to him that Felipa had confirmed date and time. she then got on phone and told me she had not confirmed date and " you know you are not the only one". I mean really this company was so rude. Then Daniel calls back and said " you know Rose Hills is not even returning calls until May 10th." I was shocked to be spoken to that way from a company that was supposed to be caring and kind to loved ones family. The service was scheduled from 11:00-2;00pm with mass at one. We were rushed through service with mass at 12:00pm. Seriously over by 1:00pm with my son in law in hearse and next family setting up for their loved one. When I questioned the staff he said well we can take him out and set up again." Who says things like that. It was such a hard thing to go through lsig Sal and to be treated tjis way unbelievable. Family showing up for mass only to be told services were over. Many more thimgs happened but not enough room. If Torres Mortuary was not prepared or capable to handle this pandemic then they should have said no. Becausr it sure wasn't in the goodness of their heart to help grieving families it was their greed.
