My Father passed away in December. He had requested Steven's funeral home before his passing so that is who I went with. I would not recommend this establishment and if my father would have known how they are now being ran I know he would have not chosen them either. They are currently named NORRIS- Stevens funeral home so the following terrible issues may possibly be attributed to the new owners and not an indication of past service. Some of the issues. *They do not itemize their fees individually which from this experience I have learned is something other funeral homes definitely do. *I was short a pall bearer and was told they would supply one. They did not and I had to perform pall bearer duties for my own father. *They did not provide lapel flowers for the pall bearers. *Some Flowers that had been ordered and sent to the funeral home were never brought to the funeral location and family had to go by to pick them up. *When my daughter who lives out of state and pregnant with her third child asked to use the bathroom while there picking up flowers ( once again that were not brought to the funeral location) She was told that their water was turned off at that time so she could not. *The funeral director took the correct information on my father's relatives but printed incorrect relatives on the memorial cards and sent the same incorrect information to the obituaries of the newspaper which was printed. *Two sisters names were listed as living that I assume were from another family ,many people contacted my family asking who these two woman were. We had to respond that we had no idea and that it was a mistake that the funeral home had made. * My fathers actual sisters had died before him and needless to say we're not listed. *AND FINALLY the ultimate issue that has driven me to leave this review is that they put the wrong information on his death certificate ( wrong mother AND EVEN SAID HE WAS CREMATED when he was not ) which has caused us to still be WAITING OVER 3 MONTHS for the corrected certificate during which time has caused a huge financial inconvenience on my family as to the fact that my stepmother is unable to apply for her widows benefits until she receives the correct death certificate. These are just a few of the issues that my family has had to deal with and as I said ARE STILL DEALING WITH OVER 3 MONTHS LATER !

This is norris funeral home and not stevens. Stevens was exemplary in helping people while norris either doesn't have customer service skills or just doesn't care. At the time my father passed away their website said Skip and Matt were working with them, this was not true. We should have left then. Particularly since Mr Martin was to busy bashing them rather than writing down what we told him. Although the service went alright, he failed to have my father's date of death added to his headstone. We contacted them in June about this and after several attempts to get information we were told that we hadn't paid for that. Two more weeks before we were given a quote and made payment. That was two weeks into July, were told it would be done within six weeks. End of August, still no date. Another phone call and we were promised it would be done by October 1st. Still no date. One more week and we will be asking for that money back and proceeding on our own. My father passed Nov 2022. Will never use them again and they should put the correct name on the business, as I said they are nothing like Stevens.

My husband's family used Steven's Funeral Home when they had to so when my father passed away I went to see Skip . He walked me through every thing. I had no idea what to do. He was professional and showed compassion when we needed it. He has handled arrangements for my Father, Husband, Mother and hopefully will be here to do mine.
