To Jessica and James David and the entire staff of Spurlin, you made a difficult time in our family easier. My uncle John passed on 8/1 and I was tasked with connecting with the Spurlin’s to help facilitate arrangements. Jess and James David did all the heavy lifting. Details were worked out with my aunt and the service came together in very short order. The Bourne family can not thank you enough for making a tough time easier. You felt like dealing with family and your attention to detail was impressive and unparalleled. On behalf of my dad Donald (Johnny’s brother) and my extended family we thank you and would recommend you always. An special thanks to Mike who’s personality and conscientiousness made the guests feel welcomed and taken care of.

The family at Spurlin Funeral home are the most wonderful people to deal with. Very loving and caring and went out of the way to meet my family’s needs! I am extremely disappointed in any family members that would leave a bad review of the wonderful folks at Spurlin. The week my Mother passed away , it rained the entire week including the day of the funeral. My Father and my brother and I knew the grave site would be a mess until it could dry up enough to fix properly. They have been in touch with us since her funeral and have helped us solve other issues. In closings I’d like to say we love the Spurlin family and want to thank you for all your kindness. My boys grandpa had his funeral at Spurling today and we had an incredible experience. All of the staff was so nice, patient, and helpful. Even at the gravesite, they went above and beyond expectations. We had a police escort through town to the gravesite and almost everyone in town was polite and pulled over to be respectful. We aren’t from here, and it was so nice to have a thoughtful town to have his funeral at. Thank you!
