My sister recently passed away and they made it so much easier by being kind. When our mom died, we had a bad experience with another local funeral home. I’m ever so grateful for the kindness. The funeral home is also beautiful.

If there was an option to give them 10 stars, I would have. I'm a transplant here from across the country, and have only ever been to two funerals/memorial services in my life. I've never really had to deal with anything like this, and certainly didn't know much about it. So when my mother passed suddenly and unexpectedly, and police, detectives, the coroner, and everyone else was asking me a million questions, I DEFINITELY didn't have an answer for "which funeral home would you like to use?" In such a life-shattering, shocking moment, someone mentioned Skeen's, and that it was close by, so that's what I went with. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such empathy and genuine care. Anthony quickly prepared my mother so I could see her one last time, and helped me navigate the next steps. I had to schedule her service for a couple months after her passing, but Anthony and Ms Jean were available for anything and everything I needed. There were no "dumb questions", and they were very understanding of and familiar with how confusing this time can be. When the day of her service finally arrived, they had everything set up beautifully, and I didn't have to worry about anything or stress about how things would go. Don't try to plan your loved one's funeral by yourself. Even if you're a super planner, type-A person like me. When tragedy hits you directly it does something to your brain to where you literally CANNOT function normally. Trust me, you NEED strong, knowledgeable, experienced people in your corner, not just for planning the service but for all the final affairs, and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful family than the Skeens to walk me through this final curtain of my mother's life.

Anthony skeen, his mom and dad are wonderful. I can't imagine my mom being taken any better care of. They had her ready the night she passed for me to view. Mrs. Skeen did her hair and makeup, she did a great job. It was and is a heartbreaking time but having loving, caring, and compassionate people like the skeens makes it easier. I am her daughter and I closed the lid at my mother's funeral. The skeens pretty much allowed me to do it the way I wanted to. One important thing my mom and I went to the funeral home years prior to her death, she picked out her casket and we paid for most everything that day. I was so glad we did that. It left me time to focus on the loss of my mother. Great people good service highly recommended
