The plan ahead funeral service was a wonderful way to have more family time during our time of the loss of our mother. Everything is easier on the immediate family. Just a few last minute details and all was set for her service. We were very pleased with how nice everything looked. Thank you Shirley Brothers Mortuary for your help during our time of loss.

We are so thankful for the service recently provided to us by Shirley Brothers. Every staff member we came into contact with was very friendly, and always went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs, especially Dustin, Jim, and Sue. Everyone was quick to return a call as well as answer any and all questions with respect, clarity, patience and fine attention to detail. Jim was truly everything you would want in a funeral director– he made the entire process so much easier for us and was constantly checking in to see how he could help out. Several of our friends and family members were impressed by the service and will consider Shirley Brothers in the future. The entire building was very clean and well decorated for the service. We encountered Shirley Brothers by accident. My husband passed away sudden and very unexpected. It was a police officer that told me there was a funeral home on Thompson and LaSalle. It was not the original funeral home that we had my husband sent to. My family set up a meeting and met Mr. Alan Dunbar. This kind, honest, compassionate, wonderful, and professional human being made light in our darkness. He went out of his way to ensure that my family was his priority during this tragic time. He has recently still gone out of his way to help us. Not many people do that in this world anymore. Business or not Mr. Alan Dunbar is a ray of sunshine and we feel honored to have met him. Shirley brothers as a business should be honored to have him. Shirley brothers is a clean, caring, and wonderfully staffed business. We have nothing but positive thoughts about this company and their staff!!
