They guided and enabled me and our family through the pain and fog of loss Our beloved grandson Archie with a sense of grace, competence, thoughtfulness, and kindness that has been an immense comfort.

It’s a shame that there aren’t more reviews done on funeral homes in general. Funeral services are a really big purchase, are they not? But, it makes sense. Many of us want to move on, and not think about funeral services for our loved ones, let alone take the time to write a review. Often times, you need one when a loved one has died unexpectedly, and you are sad and stressed. Even if it is expected, who really wants to do much research in advance? So when we needed a funeral home for a loved one, we just assumed we would choose one that other family members had chosen in the past. We made calls and visits to those, but in order to perform our due diligence, we thought it prudent to at least look at a few others in the area. I can’t tell you how glad we are that we did, and found Schulte & Mahon-Murphy. Everyone from Matt and his family (including Mary, Jim, Matt’s dog Millie) to the rest of the staff couldn’t have taken better care of us. It was an extremely stressful and emotional time, and I’ve never had any regrets whatsoever in using their services. They are experienced and everything went smoothly. This is exactly what you want. You don’t want any problems or annoyances during this time. The fact that I am taking the time to write this review many months after I used their services should tell you something to this effect. Disclaimer: I have no financial or prior-personal relationship with this funeral home. As I wrote, a dear, loved one died, and I wanted to honor her as best that I could, and using Schulte & Mahon-Murphy helped to accomplish that. They were caring and responsive to our needs throughout the process. We used their party room for a memorial luncheon afterwards, and the room and services were wonderful. Everyone enjoyed it. I would unequivocally recommend using their services. Prices were competitive. I hope to not have to use any funeral home services for many years, but if I do, I know where I am going. I am writing this to help others in their search – you, who may be reading this and have lost a loved one, let this be that one review which persuades you to call them. I have attended many services at funeral services in my life, and in retrospect, I can write that Schulte & Mahon-Murphy is one of, if not the, best around.

Beautiful Funeral Home, but we felt we were being rushed through my dad's service last year. The director did not put the military emblem on his casket as promised, he did not want us to place his military book in the casket... I'm thinking because we rented the casket because he was being cremated and they did not want any damage done to the casket? They also did not add our desired items to be cremated along with our dad. Our mom was shown here in 2007 and it was very nice. I would not use this establishment again. Also, their prices are excessive compared to other funeral homes.
