Our family had such a great experience with San Diego Burials at Sea. Our mother always made it clear that 'when her time came' she wanted to be cremated and have her ashes put in the pacific ocean. So when that time came recently I researched and found San Diego Burials at Sea. From the moment I first reached out they were responsive, kind and professional. I asked a million questions through email and they always responded with a quick, kind, response. We finally agreed on a date and time (June 23, 2024) and on the day of the scattering our family gathered on Shelter Island. Host Mo and Captain Liz were fantastic. They made sure we knew the process and explained everything. They prepared mom's ashes, provided rose pedals to put in the water and even did a test of the winds at the spot just to make sure everything went smooth. Mo help guide my brother and I with lowering Mom's ashes in the water and it was quite comforting to see the ashes cloud up in the water among the rose pedals. It was a truly beautiful experience. I highly recommend them!!

Our family had a very pleasant experience during an emotional time. Our coordinator, Amie was so warm and professional and our captain Liz made us feel safe and cared for. We had no idea what to expect and this company handled everything from start to finish. Definitely recommend!!
