The funeral director did not do a very good job at helping to guide us in what kind of things a normal funeral would have/do. And the pastor barely finished speaking his last word when the director came in to say this concludes the funeral service. It was very rude and insensitive. Then we started taking everything out to leave and I went to grab a change of clothes to change into and to take my daughter to use the restroom and the man had locked the doors immediately. I feel like as a funeral director, it is your job to help advise on how to make the funeral go as smoothly as possible.

This funeral home is a disgrace! We had to bury my mother-in-law 3 years ago and had the funeral service there. the funeral director was a joke! Very unprofessional, didn’t try to help in anyway or comfort very rude. I wanted to move her to a different funeral home but he wanted to charge me a crazy amount!! My mother in law’s husband put her there originally without contacting my husband first. And during the services he was no where to be found. I recommend go elsewhere!!! God bless❤️

My parents purchased their pre-paid funeral services with Root Funeral Home back in the early 1990's. When Dad passed away in May of 2019, I started reading about "pre-paid services" and the nightmares that typically followed at other funeral homes. I was prepared for the worst! However, when my brother and I sat down with Thomas Root to discuss the details of the funeral, nothing could have been further from the truth. Thomas explained every option that was available, made helpful suggestions about the viewing/wake, and personally communicated with the Pastor of Queen of All Saints, Father Kevin Huber, to coordinate the funeral Mass and burial process. Our mother just passed away this month (October 2020), and his attention to detail was exactly the same. Outstanding! There were no surprise charges, no additional costs, no obsolete options that required an "upgrade" - none of that! Root Funeral Home did exactly what they said they would do based on the agreement they made with our parents from years ago! What a blessing it was to have worked with an honorable business! I'm sorry for those families that have left negative reviews, but I can honestly tell you that our experience could not have been better.
