My uncle's had a service there. I have to say it is a beautiful place, resting place for our loved ones that have passed on, under those cherry blossom trees. Our family went, some with their children, including infants. One thing I am going to say, or I may be at wrong, and need to say. I had change my 6mo. olds diaper. Now, upon looking for a place in the restrooms to change the baby. I was not able to find it. So, I went to the office (1st building) where there were no people around, there were some couches, where no one was sitting. I know at times it is impossible to get mom with babies accommodated. As it is a mortuary office. I understand, that. As I was taking the stuff I needed to change my baby plus the surface cover. I was then approached by a Caucasian male telling me not to change the baby on the couch. To take him to the bathroom instead. I told him there's no table long enough to lay him there. Mine you I had the baby almost ready to be changed with a cover under him. The male proceeded to telling me to not argue with him. i did not gave an attitude and I was not. I told him I am not arguing, he said it is for ppl to sit down I asked if I could change him on the floor he said no, then I said coffee table? just to see his reaction. But, he denied. Then he said I could take him to the chapel the next building where theres a nice rug where I can lay him and change the baby. Or take him to the car, mine you it was 11ish in the morning and cold. ( My back seats are occupied because I have 2 children whos carseats take over) and having to do so in the trunk it was cold. We had parked pretty far. I had no choice. But to leave while I was leaving, gathering my stuff. The male stood there waiting for me to leave while I was putting my things away, letting me know he needed to put the one cushion I moved from one corner and put it behind me. If the cameras do work, I'm pretty sure it was caught and be reviewed. This is something a director needs to be aware of where a solution aside from all gender restrooms be changed to and an accomodation for family members who are attending and paying their respects to their loved ones. Families who happen to come with their small children and from far away. This treatment should be reprehended. May be he thought I was a very young mother and he could go one with argument statement. Disappointed.

My sister was gravely ill in Rohnert Park, CA and I live in New York City. Awaiting my sister's passing, in April 2020, I tried to help my nephews by gathering funeral home and cemetery information for them. I called Pleasant Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary. I was so fortunate to get Nicole on the line. I explained to her what I was trying to do. Besides being compassionate, Nicole was very informative. Although she knew that I was doing research and I may not choose them, she graciously answered all my questions and offered important information that I should consider. I called her back various times with other questions and she answered them all. She did not make me feel that i was imposing. After our conversations, she would email me a summary of what we had discussed and prices. I sent my nephews a spreadsheet with several Funeral parlors and cemeteries to consider. When my sister passed in mid April, my nephews asked for my personal opinion regarding the names on the spreadsheet. I told them that I recommended Pleasant Hills Memorial because of Nicole's professionalism, compassionate manner, helpfulness and their competitive prices. My nephews took my advice and later relayed to me that Pleasant Hills were wonderful, helpful and very compassionate in the way they and my sister's body was treated. At a time when you lose a loved one, a place like Pleasant Hills Memorial Park is what is needed. I thank them for all they did to help my family's pain a little bit easier.
