I recommended Peter Jarema to a family I was working with. Danny and Robert were caring, compassionate, honest, and fully accommodating. The chapel is historic, warm, and beautiful with a lot of flexibility in the space. There is a distinct difference found when dealing with a family-owned funeral firm and should anyone need services in the East Village, I strongly suggest giving them a call. We used the chapel for a memorial service and it allowed a space for the merging of the deceased's worlds: family, friends, the East Village art scene, and a "work family" were able to come together for a beautiful and dignified service in the neighborhood they loved and called home since the 1980s. Highly recommend.
