Having to preplan my dads funeral requests was a first for me. Being part of the Derry business community I knew Craig and Eric already. I knew exactly where we would go and completely trusted them with our dads plans. We weren't expecting our dad to pass as soon as he did, but never did Craig waver when it was time to get things prepared. Since the day we had hoped to celebrate dads life was already booked at their facility we decided to have the whole service at our church in Windham. The whole staff at Peabody arranged all that was needed to allow us to focus on planning the actual service. The girls in the office were very helpful to contact the Navy to have the Honor Guard at the service as well since we didn't have the necessary required paperwork ready to do this. Their dedication to excellence was evident. They put the family first as many times we saw them go above and beyond what we expected. Our experience with Peabody Funeral Home was nothing short of fantastic. During such a difficult time with the loss of my Father, the entire staff treated my family with the utmost care and handled every detail with class and professionalism. It's easy to see how this organization has been a successful member of the Derry/Londonderry community since the 1930's. I highly recommend Peabody Funeral Home to anyone in need of their service.

For a place that is supposed to help a family through bereavement they have been anything but! It has been one headache after another with them. My grandmother paid for her funeral costs 14 years ago to make it easy on my family but this place still finds a way to nickel and dime you. To add a 10 minute grave side service for her burial they were going to charge thousands more claiming that it broke the original contract she had signed and that they would have to rewrite the contract at today's prices. And then they claimed that even though the contract said she was to be embalmed that they didn't have to do that because it wasn't winter and they refused to reimburse us the embalming fees. My grandmother also paid for the transportation of her body from Maine to nh because that is where she was living at the time she signed the contract which they also wouldn't reimburse. They were rude and argumentative and had no compassion for our loss! We have previously used brookside funeral home in plaistow nh and they were nothing but compassionate and bent over backwards to help you through your grief. I would not recommend Peabody to anyone!!
