I am very happy with the decision to use East County Mortuary. I saw that they had excellent reviews and they certainly lived up to them. Everyone I dealt with was extremely helpful and kind throughout the whole process. It started with Robert the owner, who met with me initially. I quickly saw that even though this is a business, he was not all about making money, but was about informing me of my options and help guiding me to choose the package that would best suit my needs. The young driver (sorry I forgot your name) who picked up my mom when she passed, had a very pleasant demeanor. He went out of his way to show respect and empathy. Noah was also kind and helpful the few times I met with him. He always had a smile. Rita and Emma were both customer focused, knowledgeable, and eager to help. And then there's Dacia, who was personally assigned to work with me. I was extremely impressed with her empathy, compassion, knowledge, attention to detail, and her willingness to go above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly during the open casket viewing and then the funeral itself the next day. She accommodated our family's needs by working much later than normal for the viewing. She really seemed like a loving family member, who really cared about our feelings and emotional state. Thank you all very much for everything you did to help guide and support me through this difficult time.

East County Mortuary recently provided services for both of my grandparents. They made the process so comfortable and easy. Every one I spoke with offered their condolences first and then provided the information that I needed to fulfill final wishes. Communication was exceptional and they were always kind and professional with a calming presence. They managed all of the details for me and let me know what I needed to do every step of the way. My father's funeral service was recently held at East County Mortuary – and our family could not be more pleased with the amount of care, attention to detail, and compassion given by the entire staff. We first worked with Funeral Director Uyen Thai Do – who coordinated a beautiful Buddhist / Vietnamese ceremony for my father in just a short span of 4 days. What she & her team pulled off for us was absolutely incredible & perfect in honor of my dear father. When we arrived at the mortuary for the first time, we were greeted by Noah – one of the Funeral Arrangers – who was wonderful and took the time to give us a tour of the space & answered our many questions. Nelssy was also very sweet & patient as we followed up with more inquiries over the phone. On the day of the service, Robert – the Owner & Founder – personally helped us, along with the thorough assistance of Brendan. I rode the funeral coach with Robert to the cremation facility – and while it was such an emotionally difficult day, he comforted me with gentle conversation & helped to ease my sorrow. We picked up my father's ashes just a few days after the service, and we were fortunate to be helped by Kristy – Funeral Director & Embalmer. Kristy did an amazing job with the embalming & makeup – my father looked so natural & so at peace. Last but not least, all the genuine kindness given by Jonathan – General Manager – was a true blessing throughout this entire process. He helped to wrap up all final matters in the most caring & empathetic way. When my mother sent him a custom writeup for my father's obituary, Jonathan promptly responded & the website was updated the very next morning. We're very grateful to everyone at East County Mortuary for getting us through one of the most difficult periods in our lives – and would highly recommend them to take special care of any family's dearly departed loved ones.
