Ida is the sweetest lady you could ever meet, she’s kind compassionate, and very willing to help you in anyway possible. Inside the funeral home is beautiful, she just finished remodeling and you feel like your in a beautiful house and not a funeral home. We all have to deal with the reality of going to our forever home and Ida makes that easier for you and the family.

Went to Ida Opacity to update a contract for my funeral. Her husband Al, had told me he wanted me to be the last one he did before retiring. Sadly he passed away in 2020. However, his wife Ida has carried on the business and we went over the contract, updating it where necessary. She was very professional and knowledgeable and I know, when the time comes, all my wishes will be carried out. She even suggested things I would not have thought of on my own. I feel I am in very good hands. Al would be pleased!

I never thought I would be writing a review for a funeral home. However, I would be remiss if I did not take the time to thank the Opacity Funeral Home for the outstanding customer service they provided me and my family during the recent loss of our Beloved Aunt Peggy. From the time I made the initial call to the Opacity Funeral Home, it was clear that Ida Opacity understood the pain that I was in. She demonstrated great compassion and thoughtfully walked me through the steps involved in preparing for the funeral. She availed herself to me by giving her personal cell phone number for questions that may arise outside of normal business hours. After meeting the next day at the Funeral Home, Ida Opacity and her Staff patiently explained all the available funeral options, including the memorial service that was actually decided upon. The memorial service was nothing less than beautiful and it was conducted in a very serene atmosphere. The staff remained available for any service they could provide while discretely allowing the family to mourn without interruption. They showed true compassion and professionalism throughout the process. I would highly recommend to others facing the daunting task of planning the funeral of a loved one, to consider the Opacity Funeral Home. It's the personal touch that made the difference for our family when deciding who would best handle Peggy's funeral.
