My father passed away on October 13, 2023 and initially the staff at Keenan Funeral Home were seemingly great. After the wake my mother ordered a marker for my father's grave and as asked, she wrote out a personal check directly to one of the Keenan Funeral employees in the amount of about $3,200. The check was immediately cashed and thereafter the employer who took and cashed my mother's check stopped communicating with my mother. Ten months later we still had no marker for my father's grave. The Keenan Funeral Home claimed the marker was delivered but then returned. After much demanding my mother was finally reimbursed the $3,200. Yesterday, I was finally able to speak to the Keenan employee who took payment from my mom. He admitted that he stopped communicating with my mother and claims that my father's marker was delivered to a house where he used to live so it was returned. Why a check was made out directly to employee and why a gravestone marker would be delivered directly to someone's house seems suspicious. The saddest part about this is that my father was a great and loyal man. He knew the Keenans and would only wanted them to handle his death. He would be beyond upset knowing that they attempted to scam my 83 year mother. Its been almost a year since my dad passed and his grave site is bare. We have ordered a gravestone directly with a company and look forward to placing the stone on his site to give him the respect and dignity he deserves. Shame on Keenan- still no apologies to my mother.

Experiencing the death of any loved one is extremely devastating, especially when it is your child. I prematurely delivered our son at 22 weeks and he died shortly after birth. We were referred to Daniel Kennan Funeral Home from our amazing after care nurse and I am grateful we were. The kindness, compassion, and care provided to us during this difficult time has truly meant the world to us. Michael was extremely supportive and beyond caring. He made a difficult time very easy for us. Michael took care of the cremation process. He was also able to fill our jewelry and urn with our sons cremains. Julie was so kind to reach out and check on us weeks after. To know that they were still thinking of us and that if we needed anything else they were willing to help is so heartfelt. The communication with this funeral home is really outstanding. Our family truly thanks you for your service, yous really go above and beyond!
