Clean and modern style chapel/lobby. Lots of parking space for larger families and their guests but beware - the entrance and exit to the lot are the same! I imagine it can get pretty congested after services and on the way to the cemetery.

This review is based on my father's funeral 4 years ago in June 2020. I'm not from Memphis, my dad is--so I chose Ford's funeral home based on family tradition. I'm from "up north" so there are certain expectations I was looking for that were severely lacking. I'll start by saying that the director at the time, was very hospitable, kind, and patient. The areas that left me disappointed-- Live stream did not work day of funeral. This was during COVID so many family members were trying to view via live stream. No internet for us to show a slideshow! I had to create a PowerPoint and bring my laptop to set it up. My sorority sister wanted to email a resolution and they said they didn't have an email address for her to send too. They are too behind the times. Need updating. They didn't prepare my dad well. He didn't look like himself. People commented this several times. Not until a recent funeral for my Uncle also prepared by Ford and noticing he didn't look like himself , that I realize the common denominator was the funeral home. There were other things as well, none of the flowers we purchased were there for his burial. His burial was a week later due to COVID precautions, but still, this was promised. We paid for them, no show. I would not recommend.

Just recently used NJ Ford to bury our father. We had a great experience with them! Everyone was so kind, Mr. Lee, Ms. Melissa just to name a few. The service, compassion and attention to honor our dad could not have been better. They honored a request my father had made before passing that was a little unordinary, but they took the time to do it and for that I'm truly appreciative. They stayed with us until the very end and took us home after the repast. The care, professionalism, and personable job they did was amazing. Thank you so much for helping us during this difficult time.
