Nelson's was beyond phenomenal regarding the care and empathy my family and I received during this difficult time. They made me feel like a family member of theirs! I am so happy we chose them to lay my beautiful mother to rest. I recommend them to anyone making arrangements to bury a loved one. The director Mr. Ellis has a truly warm and embracing spirit and Ms. Patricia was lovely! We thank you for a wonderful experience. May God continue to bless your family and the business. ❤

My sister’s funeral service was held at this mortuary. Family members who were not able to attend were comforted by the fact that this mortuary provided live video streaming of the funeral services. On the day of the service family members from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Alabama, Massachusetts and Puerto Rico were logged onto the Nelson’s Memorial Mortuary website to view the service. The service was supposed to start on Sunday at 11:00 AM. There was a delay which was unexpected, and the service started at 12:00 noon. At this point all family members were still was logged on to view the streaming of the service. Needless to say, we were all frustrated that we couldn’t see the service. All they had on their website was a previous recording of a previous service that was streamed. My sister, my cousin and myself all called the mortuary the following day to find out what happened, and why my sister’s video was not on their website. The people who answered the phones were not very caring or helpful or professional for this kind of business. They said that they had problems with their streaming server that day and were working on trying to recover the recording. This despite the fact that 3 hours later it was working just fine for another service that day, and was posted to their website. During the phone call they didn’t offer any words of comfort or apologize for the incident. They didn’t even offer to take my name or phone number to let me know if or when the recording of my sister’s service would be posted. I find this very appalling and disappointing for this kind of business. If I could have given zero stars I would have.

Several flowers were not delivered from the funeral home to the church for the service. When I called they tried to blame the florist. A conference call, GPS and cameras had to be used to confirm they received the flowers but failed to deliver them to the church. I am extremely disappointed and hurt. The apology was empty and unsympathetic.
