Was supposed to get my Grandpa's ashes and they couldn't give my mother one minute to call. She was at work. So they gave them to my grandma who said she didn't want it. My mom signed a paper so it'll go to her. But no. The funeral home called grandma and now we can't have him. Wow.... Response to your feedback. I don't think you understand. I understand I couldn't take him. But my grandpa was on paper supposed to go to my mother. I was there to witness my mom signing the paper. Someone called my mom to say he was ready. By the time she was available, they took him to my grandma's. Now she's refusing to give him back. If you guys just would have done what was promised this wouldn't have been an issue.

Murdoch-Linwood is a beautiful and comfortable facility. In the pre-funeral meeting Bill Bergerson listened carefully to everything the family had to share. He used this information to personalize his services. His guidance was gentle and supportive without being heavy-handed. From beginning to end, Bill’s presence was felt but he remained discreetly out of sight. He anticipated our every need to provide a seamless experience. If Bill is representative of the Murdoch funeral home, there is nothing upon which to improve their services.

Preplanning my funeral arrangements was a very positive experience. Information around burial options have changed a lot since the death of my parents and a son. No questions were left unanswered or considered too sensitive to discuss. Being able to leave clear directions ahead of my death is my gift to those who were dear to me in life. My hope is that it will free them from the untimely burden of costs and planning a funeral and instead provide them the space to grieve, to remember and to find peace. The Murdoch Funeral Home facility on Wilson Avenue SW is really lovely - a spacious, tasteful gathering space that reflects the warmth and professionalism of the staff.
