I owe so much to the entire Murdoch staff. From the caring funeral home directors that came to my dad's house the morning of his passing, to the sincere condolences from the entire staff when I arrived to schedule arrangements, to the front desk who designed the perfect programs and thank yous. But the most thanks I give is to Jaime Murdoch Steward. She took my frantic calls and calmed my heart. She understood my dad's requests and worked hard to make sure we fulfilled them. Every last touch of his funeral was all because of Jaime. Purple flowers for his favorite color. Gold accents on the vault because he loved his gold jewelry. A cross and his "Doctor" status on the vault cover. The video of my dad singing "The Lord's Prayer" during the service. The form to display my dad's U of I Doctoral gown and distinguished medals. It was perfection. It was just how my dad would have wanted it. The best part is knowing that this treatment comes standard to anyone that walks through those doors. There are so many other "things" I could list of how truly easy they made everything... especially when my brain was mush. I have worked with another local funeral home for my grandma's funeral and let me tell you, that care was so business formal and yuck. Murdoch's is clearly family focused and beyond considerate to the families they help. I am forever grateful to them!

We lost our son unexpectedly in June, 2023. I don't know how I would have made it through the planning journey and services without the staff at Murdoch. Carl was one of the most compassionate humans I have ever met. He, along with the office staff, especially Shelby, went out of their to accommodate our every wish and need. They took so much off of my shoulders and helped create the most beautiful and moving tribute to my son. The staff at Murdoch helped us move through every step of the worst event of our lives with the greatest care and compassion. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Bill and the staff were both professional and comforting. The service was stellar. They were very helpful and guiding. We especially loved the tribute video Bill put together from photos that we provided. A difficult job done very well.
