My husband was buried August 10, 2018. I am finally ready to speak on Morgan‘s funeral home services. The communication was very poor between us. I lived in Florida but I was burying my husband in the Veterans cemetery in Jacksonville North Carolina. With all that I was going through, phone calls would have been better than him sending me text messages or emails because my phone was flooded all the time. He did not tell me that I had to meet with the cemetery the day before to pick out what I had to put on his headstone. I ended up holding up the burial because of that. He also put the wrong rank on my my husbands placard. Thank God I saw it before they put the permanent headstone down. Morgan talked entirely to much at the funeral and the burial. I think it is rude to talk that much, recite poetry, and ramble on and on when I did not give you permission. It was not about Morgan that day but he surely made it all about him! He also decided to have a wake without my permission. I had to send people away because that is not what I wanted. Morgan said that was tradition. It was not my tradition! I had just got in from Florida. How dare him plan something without proper communication. I don’t even want to start on the two ladies that helped him out that day. It is so many things that I can say but I will be all day. I am glad everyone else had a great experience. I wish that I could say the same. If I could, I would rate his services a Zero!

My dear friend lost her mother last week. Because they weren't blood related and even tho her will said my friend was surpose to take care of the funnel Gary Morgan treated my friend so disrespect it should be illegal. He yelled and cussed at my friend for asking to many questions. This woman has spent the last to months at her mother's bed side taking care of her while her actual sons couldn't even be bothered to see her. So instead of being patient and kind to a woman during the biggest lose of her life they yell and cuss at her. If you care about your loved ones I wouldn't use these ppl. Only got a 1 star cause I can't post with no stars.

My family's experience with Morgan Funeral Home, Inc. was superb! My family member died unexpectedly in Florida, but we buried her in Jacksonville, NC in the family cemetery. Gary Morgan, the funeral director, was extremely gracious and accommodating, particularly during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the graveside service, Mr. Morgan graciously gave us a placard to display and beautiful bookmarks to give as tokens of appreciation to people who attended the service. In addition, Mr. Morgan was consistently in contact with me to make sure that everything was in place for the viewing and service. He also worked well with the funeral home in Florida to make sure that my family member's remains arrived timely in Jacksonville, NC. Gary was so professional, kind, and extremely patient during a time when I was an emotional wreck and barely holding it together. I would highly recommend Morgan Funeral Home. I see why our family has used this funeral home for many years.
