This place has done members of my family for years. They did everything for my grandfather so well. He looked so sharp in his suit. He also looked so peaceful as if he was just sleeping. They showed empathy when it came to the family drama and were on high alert. I don’t know why people complain about how old funeral homes make look when most of them are older and family run. Generations have run most funeral homes. The ambience during our private viewing was peaceful. I would recommend this place over and over again.

Roy Mizell and Kurtz have been the preferred morticians for our family for generations. Mr. Kurtz, Mr. McCray, and the entire staff were truly caring and accommodating with our needs. It was as if family was taking care of us. They held my hand through the entire planning and service. On behalf of the family, we were extremely pleased with their service and care for our loved one.

The staff at Mizell-Kurtz Funeral Home were very professional, caring, respectful and compassionate while my family and I made arrangements for my mother viewing and funeral. They worked with me and helped guide me through the entire process. At her viewing she looked as though she was sleeping. She looked like the queen that she was. This establishment has taken care of my grandparents, my sister and now... my mother.
