If I could give Mitchell Funeral Home ten stars, I would. Stephen Mitchell, the Location Manager, was a Godsend. There are so many decisions to be made at the time of death, and it can be overwhelming. Stephen walked my family and me through the entire process with professionalism and kindness. None of us felt any pressure whatsoever, which we greatly appreciated. The staff at Mitchell were all kind, courteous, and helpful. My family and I could not have had a better experience, especially the horse- drawn carriage for our mother’s funeral.

I’m sharing this very personal experience for others with loved ones in home hospice who may not have thought about how a caring place like this can make a big difference. My husband passed away at home under hospice care after just a few weeks. In advance I had called Mitchell Funeral Home; I chose them because I had driven by their location countless times over many years, seeing it was always well kept and the services looked well managed. From the very first conversation on the phone, they were kind, compassionate, and expertly handling the details. When the time came for them to take my husband into their care, two professionally dressed, kind, and gentle people came with a gurney that was covered with a beautiful heavy cloth. They had a specific process they quietly, respectfully, and carefully followed. The next day, Mr. Mitchell kindly guided me through every step of the cremation process that would be followed and precisely documented. When I returned to their location to bring the cremated remains home, Mr. Mitchell showed me to a private room that was set up for me. On a nice table there was a lovely grey satchel that contained the metal box of remains , and an elegant small white flower display surrounded it. I was given time to be alone, then afterward I was accompanied to the car. Everything Mitchell Funeral Home did was above and beyond my expectations. Even weeks later, when I needed additional copies of documents, the staff, Brooke and Deanna, assisted me kindly, quickly and efficiently. Mitchell Funeral Home is a place that will care for your loved one—and for you—with compassion, dignity, and professionalism.

Recently our Family had the unfortunate need for a Funeral Home Service after the passing of our infant Granddaughter. As you can imagine we were at a total loss for what to do next.
