My wife and I recently decided to prepay for our cremation and burial services to relieve our children of that burden. Some very dear friends of ours recommended Michels & Lundquist. They had made their arrangements through them and couple of years ago and were very satisfied with the experience. After making an appointment online we met with Lou McDermott, our Pre-Arrangement Counselor, a few days later at the Funeral Home. What a wonderful man! We had a general idea of what we wanted and Lou listened to our ideas and concerns, asked several questions, and discussed contingencies we hadn’t even considered. He was very professional… we were comfortable and never felt pressured throughout the entire process. Lou helped us figure out what we actually needed, nothing more and nothing less, and helped us save some money in the end. Lou gave us a tour of the facility and we were very impressed with their on-site reception and services options. I would also like to recognize “Angela” (the young lady at the reception desk) who greeted us when we arrived for our meeting with Lou. She was so friendly and welcoming and immediately had us at ease the moment we walked through the door. I can only imagine the range of emotions she encounters there on a daily basis. She’s the perfect “first impression” for Michels & Lundquist. Our overall experience was excellent. We now have the peace of mind knowing that when the time comes, all it will take is one phone call and the wonderful staff at Michels & Lundquist will handle the rest.

This funeral home, Michels & Lundquist, was contracted through Inman shipping for the purpose of preparing my mother's body and arranging air transportation back to PA. Their initial response time to our home was great, and the two gentlemen who cared for mom were kind and professional. They assured me that I would receive a call from the funeral director within 24 hours. I'm still waiting. Not only have I NEVER received a phone call, they further delayed transportation of my mother by another 4 days. Yes, the first delay was not their fault, however, to admit that "we just don't have the staff to get her to the airport any earlier" is just cruel and unethical. And to further add " that's why we tell the family not to make any travel arrangements until they hear from us" is heartless, when I have NEVER EVER received a phone call from this funeral home. If it was up to me I would recommend that Inman shipping cancel this contract. They are disrespectful of the family's grieving process.

Ricki and the team at Michels & Lundquist are beyond wonderful. They make incredibly tough processes so easy and seamless. I cannot begin to recommend them enough!
